Montezuma Valley Volunteer Fire Department Breakfast
Palomar Sportsmen's Club members and families are asked to show their support for the Montezuma Valley Volunteer Fire Department by attending a fundraising breakfast at the firehouse located on Montezuma Valley Road.
The event begins at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday June 10th, 2006.
The country style breakfast includes beverages, pancakes, eggs and more. Members pay $5.00 and PSC will match in equal amounts.
This is important for our club and the local communities so please show your support.

Maintenance Planning
Fred Kaplan is working on PSC's Maintenance Schedule and is looking for additional volunteers.

PSC Adopt-A-Highway Program
The PSC Adopt-A-Highway program is progressing.
Rob Culver completed Cal Trans Safety Training and is qualified to get us moving on our section of State Route 79.
We need volunteers to help with this important task.
Complete details will be posted soon. Rob estimates that we need a minimum of ten volunteers 18 years or older to be successful.

PSC Water System
Chuck Henry installed the new water system pump for service in our clubhouse.
This 12 volt pump will bring the water pressure well into standards and ease our maintenance.
To complete this project we need to instal the solar panel and complete the 12 volt system.

Shotgun Trap Range
The PSC Trap Range is creeping along slowly due to the weather challenges we have faced in the last month.
As the weather clears we should be able to complete the project.
The new Pro Matic Wobble Trap Machine is state of the art and is just waiting to go into service.
We need volunteers to assist with the concrete work and of course donations to help complete the project.

Warner Springs 4H
PSC needs volunteer's to assist with the Warner Springs 4H Shooting Program that PSC is hosting.
This is a great program for teaching marksmanship, firearm safety, teamwork, communication skills and responsibility. If you are interested in helping local youth and the shooting sports, please contact the PSC Secretary!

PSC Member Future Olympian
One of our members, Susan Sledge, has completed the US Spring Selection Match
and earned a spot on the Junior United States National Team that will compete in the World Cup
and World Championship in Croatia later this summer.
Susan shoots International Trap and won a Bronze Medal last summer in Italy at the World Cup.

PSC Generator
The PSC generator has just been serviced and had a new pull cord installed.
This is a gasoline generator and requires periodic maintenance.
If you are using it and notice any problems or concerns, please call the club line at 619-596-8124 AND send an e mail to the PSC Secretary.

Inter Club Trap Shoot
Palomar is now part of the Interclub Trap Shoot ( 5 total).
We are looking for members to represent us at the next match held in June at the hosting club (Lemon Grove)
We need at least five members to qualify and the cost is $15.00 for 100 targets.
Every few months a different club hosts the shoot and a trophy is awarded to the top club for scores and participation.
Look for more information soon and if you think you are going to participate please send the PSC Secretary an e mail with your information.
